On the evening of November 8, the closing ceremony of the 37th AEHT Annual Conference took place in the ATTA CENTRS, marking a memorable end to a week where Riga welcomed around 850 participants from over 24 countries. This event provided young professionals from the hospitality and tourism industries a stage to showcase their skills and creativity.

The closing ceremony was filled with joy and gratitude, as outstanding participants were awarded well-deserved prizes, with applause echoing through the hall time and again. The atmosphere was festive, with words of appreciation resonating as winners were announced, highlighting the significance of AEHT conferences in fostering the growth of young professionals. Pride in achievements and the joy of new friendships and collaborations that had blossomed during this special week were evident on participants’ faces.

One of the evening’s most emotional moments was the AEHT flag handover ceremony, symbolically marking the transition to the next host school – Sweden. With pride and anticipation for future accomplishments, the flag was passed to representatives from Sweden, who accepted it with gratitude and affirmed their commitment to upholding AEHT traditions.

The conference organizers, Valsts SIA “Rīgas Tūrisma un radošās industrijas tehnikums” in collaboration with the Latvian Ministry of Education and Science, expressed deep gratitude to all participants, organizers, and supporters, emphasizing the importance of jointly advancing education and professionalism in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
